Mohua’s Sauvignon Blanc, from the Marlborough region of New Zealand, is a delightful white wine. The 2011 bottling has lots of citrus and vegetal elements, all bound together by zippy acidity.
“Pale yellow. Aromas of lime and grapefruit are lifted by an ethereal dusty spice element. Bright, sappy and intense, with excellent breadth to the dense melon, tropical fruit and spice flavors. Finishes savory and persistent, with a sweet stone fruit quality. Nicely high-pitched sauvignon, and a lot of wine for the price.”
